TONIGHT! – BBQ on the Beach – 25th July 2019

Yes! – The Barbecue on the Beach is TONIGHT and the weather looks good. Start is 6:00 p.m. outside
the old Beach Office, Southbourne (next to Bistro on the Beach). Don’t forget to bring along your
barbecue (or other means of cooking), food, drinks and maybe something to sit on. Enjoy!

HH NCI AGM – Formal Notice and Nomination Forms

Last week our Secretary Gill Stevens, mailed to all Watchkeepers and Trainees regarding the AGM on
2nd September and included in the mail are the formal nomination forms for any of the electable
roles. If you have not received the mail, please contact Gill at

Watchkeeper Updates

VHF SRC Radio Course – Saturday 17th August

Peter Ellis has advised that take up for places on the above course has been good but there are still
five places available so the course is now open to Trainees (T) as well as Watchkeepers (W) who do
not yet have a license. Please book on to the course in the normal way via FMS.

New Watchkeeper

Congratulations to Jean Kathawick, our latest newly qualified Watchkeeper, seen here receiving her epaulettes from Chris Lloyd-Smith. Congratulations Jean, that makes you our 72nd qualified Watchkeeper. Well Done Jean.

New entry Training Course – 18th July

Chris Lloyd-Smith has now run the latest “Entity” Training Course for new entrants. Fifteen newcomers attended and Chris was supported by Station Manager, Brian Roberts, and four of the Training Team. So, welcome to our new Trainees, seen in the picture below, Mark Sherry, Steve Marks, Michael Gourlay, Robin Hill, Dave Brown, Peter Pugh, David Wagner, Christine Harding, Gavin Boyd, Bruce Manning, Richard Parkhouse, Paul Hebden, John Gill, Sue Wilkinson and John Bruce.
